Lead Project Engineer - Libya

Offer: Recruiting Lead Project Engineer in Libya. Work location: Office based, with site visits. Accommodation, Flights, Food and Medical / Accident Insurances provided by client. Rotation 6 weeks / 3 weeks. Contract 12 months renewable each year. Functions: Job Summary: Responsible for planning, leading, controlling, organizing, and execution of project activities, training and induction of new team members, improvement of company systems and processes within the Project Department, business development, and other work-related activities. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Induction and training of new team members to ensure successful integration into the Client's Company culture, philosophy and values system2. Improvement of company systems and processes within the Project Department3. Leads the trouble shooting team in analyzing problems, recommend solutions, and to modify plans as appropriate if problem arises4. Oversees third-party Engineering activities in support of the Project Engineers5. Development of new business with new clients for the Project Department6. Calculation and preparation of offers to clients7. Project planning and management through engineering, procurement, and construction phases of multi-discipline projects8. Maintains close coordination with third-party engineering partners for day to day project requirements9. Coordination and problem solving with Site Supervisor as well as clients10.Negotiation, contract coordination and communication with clients11.Project controlling and reaching of goals and objectives12.Estimates requirement for resources, such as management, labor, materials, and time required to complete a project13.Assesses vendors for technical competence, capabilities, resources, and financial standing in conjunction with the Purchasing Department14.Works with troubleshooting team to modify plans as appropriate, if problems arises during project execution15.Prepares monthly reports, detailing progress and costs for top management16.Participate in weekly project meetings and customer meetings17.Works with other department in troubleshooting problems18.Cooperates with Project Engineers from other projects to share similar problems and solutions19.Maintain good relations with existing clients20.To finish assigned construction projects in accordance with client specifications and within schedule and budget limitations21.Coordinate activities of project team, contractors, and vendors22.Reviews and studies existing equipment, facilities, systems and processes to increase efficiency, improve quality, and reduce costs23.Monitors progress of project development and compares actual costs with estimates24.Visits project sites on a regular basis25.Supports Company and Department policies and programs 25.Supports Company and Department policies and programs26.Observes and obeys Company rules and regulations27.Participates in Company activities when required28.Continuously looks after his/her professional development Relationships: The post holder will be accountable to the Manager - Projects and will have relationships with other Project Engineers, Lead Project Engineer, Equipment, Purchasing, Finance, Drilling, HR, HSEQ, Catering Department, Site Supervisors, and other colleagues at work. Requirements: Work Experience: at least 10 years work experience in the same capacity, or related capacity, 3 years of which are managerial in nature. Commercial Experience will be a benefit.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with Master’s DegreeLicenses/Certificates:Skills/Competencies:Hands on knowledge in planning, organizing, controlling and leading a group of engineersExcellent analytical skillsHighly computer literate (knowledge on Auto CAD or other similar software)Negotiation and Coordination skillsGood knowledge on forecasting techniqueGood technical background on site constructionsExcellent knowledge on budget preparationsExcellent English communication skills (able to speak, read and write business English)Familiar with ISO 9000 and other Quality Management SystemsWith working knowledge of Clients internal dynamics, organization background, business, etc. Personal Attributes:1. 35 to 50 years old2. Preferably Male3. Firm and strong personality4. Willing to work in an unpredictable environment5. Results-oriented6. Able to thrive in stressful conditions7. Must be a good team player8. Willing to travel to the desert on a regular basis
